A Twisted & Reversed Takoyaki Chef

This ZBrush project features an original concept of a twisted take on the classic Takoyaki chef, where the chef is revealed to be an octopus in disguise, using human parts to create the fried delicacies. Drawing heavy inspiration from the eerie, unsettling chefs in Little Nightmares, the piece combines surreal horror with intricate detailing.

My key goals for this project were to craft an original and unique narrative and visual impact through conceptualization, reimagining the traditional Takoyaki chef into a disturbing character. I aimed to push the boundaries of horror-inspired design while demonstrating my ability to execute realistic and stylized detailing in ZBrush. I accurately modeled the octopus chef and human parts in ZBrush, focusing on organic textures and grotesque realism.

"Tako"-yaki; To amplify the horror elements and deepen the narrative, I used an array mesh to insert grotesque fillings, like the eyeball, adding a disturbing layer of surprise to the Takoyaki balls.
